David Pinzon has a passion to help others understand how scientists work in industry and the value that innovations in science bring to global agriculture. He collaborates with the Open Innovation team to help bring visibility to our current and past collaborations. This allows those interested in working with us to gain an understanding of what Corteva has to offer and how that benefits the outcome of the research project.
David holds an M.S. in Plant Pathology from the University Los Andes, in Colombia, and a Ph.D. in Plant Biology, from the University of Alberta in Canada. He began his career working as a biology field research assistant and shortly after became a regulatory affairs manager to support the registration of crop protection products and seed traits. David’s enthusiasm to communicate science makes him an important member of our team, so those that want to work with us can learn from previous experiences.
“When I was in academia I did not have a chance to work directly with industry. When students collaborate with us they get the opportunity to learn about the type of work we do and how it is done, so when they graduate they may consider a career in industry.”
